How to use the Manual PDF Redaction Tool?

You can now securely remove or hide sensitive and confidential information (such as TFNs or personal details) directly within Effi—no external software required.

The new PDF Manual Redaction Tool is available within the Document Request section in both the Broker Portal and the Customer Portal.

📍 Where to Find It

You’ll find the redaction tool when editing uploaded documents:

1. Go to Document Request.

2. Click Upload Document.

3. Select one or more PDF or image files.

4. Once uploaded, click Edit.

5. On the right-hand side of the screen, select Redact PDF.

A new pop-up window will appear, opening the PDF Redaction Tool.

✨ What You Can Do

With the redaction tool, you can:

• Draw Boxes – Manually select and hide specific information such as TFNs, addresses, or any confidential details.

• Redact Pages – Remove entire pages from the document.

• Apply and Save – Once complete, click Apply and Save to confirm.
  A message will appear: “Redaction Successfully Applied and Saved.”

• Preview Changes – Open the file to confirm that the redacted information is no longer visible.

• Customise Colours – Choose from multiple colours for your redaction boxes to suit your preference.
