Overview
Previously, when a non-broker user was added as a co-assigned member to a lead that belonged to a broker they were not assigned to, that lead did not appear on the co-assigned member’s Kanban board.
To improve visibility and collaboration, this behaviour will be updated.
What’s Changing
With this update:
A co-assigned non-broker user will now be able to:
✅ View the specific lead they are co-assigned to, even if they are not assigned to the broker
They will not gain access to other leads under that broker
Visibility is strictly limited to the individual co-assigned lead only
This ensures:
Better collaboration
No unnecessary exposure to unrelated leads
Continued data security and role boundaries
Important Clarification
This visibility rule previously worked correctly for “Assigned Members” only
However:
Only non-broker roles can be added as Assigned Members
This enhancement now brings the same correct visibility behaviour to Co-Assigned Members
Who Is Affected
✅ Non-broker users
✅ Users added as Co-Assigned Members
✅ Leads assigned to a different broker
Resulting Behaviour (After Update)
| Scenario | Lead Visible on Kanban? |
|---|---|
| Co-assigned user + same broker | ✅ Yes |
| Co-assigned user + different broker | ✅ Yes (this lead only) |
| Not assigned or co-assigned | ❌ No |
Summary
This update ensures that any user who is co-assigned to a lead will always be able to see that lead on their Kanban board, regardless of broker assignment — without expanding access to other leads.
