Smart Reporting: Create, Save and Present Your Business Insights

Overview

Smart Reporting helps you explore your business data using everyday language. Ask a question to generate charts, metrics and explanations, save frequently used charts as Favorites, and use Canvas to build visual reports.

Create live reporting apps for ongoing monitoring or presentations that capture a point in time—all within Effi.

Getting Started

1. Open Control Centre.
2. Select Smart Reporting.
3. Enter a question in everyday business language. For example:
   “Show active leads by workflow stage.”
4. Review the charts, metrics and supporting explanations.

Your results reflect your user permissions. Brokers can only access the data they are authorised to view.

Saving Charts to Favorites

When Smart Reporting generates a chart, select Add to Favorites to save it for future use.

Favorites makes it easier to revisit charts you use regularly without searching through previous conversations..

Customising a Chart

You can change how a generated chart displays your data.

1. Open the chart’s editing options.
2. In the Chart Editor, select your preferred Chart Type, such as a bar chart.
3. Select Apply Changes.

Use the Chart Editor to change the visual format of your report.

Using Canvas

Canvas brings your charts and reporting insights together in one visual view. For example, you can create a dashboard for a referral partner to review relevant lead and pipeline information.

Use a live app for ongoing reporting or a presentation for a point-in-time business update.

Canvas combines charts and metrics in one dashboard, with Ask AI available to help customise your report.

Customising a Canvas with AI

Use Ask AI to adjust your Canvas using everyday language.

1. Open your Canvas.
2. Select Ask AI.
3. Describe the change you want. For example:
   “Change the heading colour to purple.”
4. Review the updated result.

You can continue refining the visuals to suit your reporting needs.

Creating a Presentation

1. Open the relevant Canvas.
2. Select Actions.
3. Select Present.
4. Use plain-language instructions to create or refine the presentation.

For example:

Update this to a five-page presentation.

Presentations can include charts and explanations to provide context for your audience. Review the content, then save, share or export it as a document.

Sharing and Data Access

Smart Reporting uses user-based access controls to determine which data each user can access.

You can prepare reporting outputs for referral partners and share or export presentations. Before distributing a report, review its figures and content to ensure they are appropriate for the intended audience.

Can brokers access other brokers’ data?
